The Nativity Play was held on 21st December 2019 at 6 pm in the Evans Hall. Distinguished guests, former staff, parents, teachers and the boarders attended the celebration in large numbers.
The ceremony started on an auspicious note with our school choir singing the Christmas carol – ‘O come all ye faithful’. The beautiful rendition and decorative lights created an atmosphere of Christmasy merriment.
Our lovely anchors Mrs. Shelly Redden and Mr. Lester Cramer extended a warm welcome to everyone present, inviting all to bask in the joy and happiness of Christmas. With everyone feeling welcome, Pastor Anup Waskar did the bible reading followed by a special word of prayer. Moving the night forward, we felicitated our guests Mr. Neville Follie and Mrs. Follie, Mr. Ainsley Edgar and Mrs. Edgar with an exquisite bouquet of flowers.
Our Principal was then requested to kindly come and deliver his Christmas message for us which was a very meaningful and inspiring message for each one of us.
The Nativity play commenced with a short but sweet enactment of ‘Christmas Hope’ which lead to the Nativity scene that brought alive the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. It was a truly overwhelming experience to see our students enact their roles with so much gusto and expertise. The melodious carols and music that were sung alongside enchanted the audience. Soon after we saw the dances, they were graceful and spectacular. Each act was followed by a rupture of clapping and applauds from proud parents and teachers.
At the end of the program, after the ‘Felis Navidad”, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year a vote of thanks was given by both the anchors thanking all the wonderful staff who worked so hard to make this day so memorable, a feat not possible without hard work from all the people involved!
