I am grateful to all stakeholders, for trusting me with this crucial and honourable role as the school’s custodian to uphold its impeccable standards.
At Barnes School, we are committed to instilling a love for learning, fostering creativity and empowering our students to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world, by celebrating their virtues, accepting their flaws, respecting their values and permitting them to grow at their own pace. Our dedicated faculty and staff, backed by a combination of intelligence and care, work tirelessly to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where each young and impressionable student can flourish, knowing that only misfits and oddballs change the world and it is cool to be different.
We believe in fostering a holistic educational environment that nurtures not only academic excellence but also of character development and a sense of community. Sports receives special emphasis in our school and we take pride in noteworthy achievements of our girls’ and boys’ football teams, both having competed at national level.
As we approach the milestone of 100 years in January 2024, it fills me with immense pride to lead our beloved institution as the first lady Principal in a line of distinguished gentlemen, knowing truly well that leadership is less about a title or gender, and so much more about one’s mindset and devotion to work.
This centennial celebration is a testament to the dedication of generations, past and present, who have contributed to the rich legacy of our school.
Over the years, we have grown together, overcoming challenges and cherishing triumphs – Accepto Robore Surgam.
The entire team and I at Barnes shall continue to strive to work hard and take the school to greater heights.

A combination of the educational traditions and expertise of The Bombay Education Society and the dynamism of Nashik's multi-cultural diversity, Barnes brings excellence in learning. Providing the best for its students has also been the yardstick for the state-of-the-art facilities and the dedicated faculty. Above all are the children for whom Barnes School exists, around whom everything revolves including the staff and the planning. Generations of them have passed through and the wonder still holds "Awkward cubs they were when first they came to school. Then they grew in stature, strong they grew in mind, till came the time for parting, when onward they would go as men to face the world!"
