The All Maharashtra Anglo Indian Schools U-19 Football Tournament

Over two action-packed days, the grounds of Barnes School & Junior College witnessed fierce determination, exceptional talent, and unwavering sportsmanship. The zonal-level campaign concluded with an exhilarating display of school pride as elite Anglo-Indian institutions went head-to-head on the football pitch.

The tournament was graced by alumnus Yuvraj Sandeep Kadam as the Chief Guest. A talented footballer, Yuvraj was associated with BBFS Residential Football School and Barnes School & Junior College from 2021 to March 2023. During his tenure, he proudly represented Barnes in the U-14 category and captained Maharashtra to victory at the Maharashtra State Subroto Cup Championship in 2022. His return served as an inspiring milestone, celebrating a remarkable footballing journey that began on the Barnes turf.

The tournament culminated in a grand closing ceremony, bringing together distinguished alumni, faculty, and school leadership to honor the achievements of all participating teams and players.


Certificates of Participation: Presented to St. Mary's School, Mazagaon by esteemed alumni Devesh Pandey and Rafael, and to Christ Church School by alumni Shriniwas Patil and Sayed.


Third Place: Claimed by Bombay Scottish School, Mahim, felicitated by Pre-Primary School Coordinator Mrs. Sharon Frederick.


Runners-Up (Second Place): Secured by Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai, honored by Headmaster Mr. Malcolm Bearder.

The ultimate triumph of the zonal-level tournament belonged to the hosts, Barnes School & Junior College, who captured the championship title. The victorious team was graciously felicitated by Principal Ms. Uttara Kulkarni, leaving an unforgettable chapter in the sporting history of the school.
